Roughriders 19, Blue Bombers 17: Brett Lauther kicked a 26-yard field goal as time expired to lift Saskatchewan past visiting Winnipeg for the third consecutive time in the Labour Day Classic.

Cody Fajardo completed 25-of-39 passes for 300 yards and a touchdown while William Powell accounted for 100 total yards for the Roughriders (7-3), who have won six straight games overall. Naaman Roosevelt hauled in eight passes for 93 yards while Shaq Evans finished with six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown for Saskatchewan, which moved within two points of Winnipeg at the top the West Division.

Chris Streveler went 16-of-24 for 161 yards and a touchdown while adding another 65 on the ground along with a rushing score for the Blue Bombers (8-3), who have dropped 14 of their last 15 Labour Day Classics. Kenny Lawler Jr. had four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown while Johnny Augustine added 98 rushing yards for Winnipeg.

Evans caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Fajardo to help put Saskatchewan in front 10-0 before Streveler threw a 9-yard scoring strike to Lawler to pull Winnipeg within three. Lauther kicked a pair of field goals (11 and 40 yards) to extend the Roughriders' lead to 16-7 before Justin Medlock answered with a 30-yard conversion on the last play of the first half to close the gap to six points.

Loucheiz Purifoy picked off a pass from Streveler at the Saskatchewan 24-yard line to take potential points off the board before Winston Rose snagged his league-leading seventh interception at the Winnipeg 29-yard line in a scoreless third quarter. Streveler scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to give the Blue Bombers their first lead at 17-16 with 3:29 remaining before Fajardo orchestrated an 11-play drive that ended with Lauther's game-winning kick.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Winnipeg RB Andrew Harris, who leads the CFL in rushing yards (908), served the first of a two-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy. … Saskatchewan DE Charleston Hughes finished with a pair of sacks to move into an eighth place tie with Stewart Hill (126) on the CFL's all-time list. … Streveler has rushed for seven touchdowns this season. … Roughriders WR Emmanuel Arceneaux caught three pass for 12 yards to extend his streak of games with at least one reception to 107.
