Argonauts 28, Blue Bombers 27: McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for 343 yards and three touchdowns, including a go-ahead 11-yard scoring strike to S.J. Green with 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter, as Toronto stunned visiting Winnipeg for its first win of the season.

Bethel-Thompson completed 37-of-49 passes and ran for 44 yards while Green made 10 catches for 120 yards and the TD for the Argonauts (1-6), who trailed by 20 points in the second quarter before rallying to forge a tie in the third. Rodney Smith had six receptions for 50 yards and a score while offensive lineman Jamal Campbell caught the first touchdown pass of his career for Toronto, which survived 14 penalties for 165 yards.

Matt Nichols was 21-of-31 for 169 yards and a touchdown for the Blue Bombers (5-2), who have dropped back-to-back games after beginning the season with a five-game winning streak. Andrew Harris rushed for 152 yards and two scores while Chris Matthews, who missed three contests after being stabbed in a nightclub, caught a TD pass in his return.

Justin Medlock kicked 51- and 32-yard field goals around a season-high 56-yard touchdown run by Harris, who made six catches for 45 yards, as the Blue Bombers raced out to a 13-0 lead. Harris rumbled 13 yards into the end zone to extend the advantage, but Tyler Crapigna converted a 45-yard field-goal attempt and Smith caught a 12-yard touchdown pass with 40 seconds left in the second quarter to halve Toronto's deficit.

Crapigna made no mistake from 20 yards out and Chris Rainey made a 78-yard punt return that led to Campbell's game-tying 1-yard TD reception with just over seven minutes remaining in the third quarter. Nichols found Matthews on a crossing rout for a 7-yard touchdown just 2 1/2 minutes into the fourth as Winnipeg regained the lead, but Toronto recorded a single before Green's TD catch capped a 9-play, 71-yard drive and completed the comeback.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Winnipeg DE Jackson Jeffcoat, who has recorded 11 tackles and three sacks this season, left the game in the first half with a lower-body injury. … Green moved past Hal Patterson (9,473) for 25th place on the CFL's all-time receiving yards list. … Rainey accounted for 229 total return yards. … Toronto's Corey Chamblin snapped a 15-game losing streak as a head coach, which was two shy of the CFL record.
