Tiger-Cats 30, Stampeders 23: Brandon Banks returned a missed field goal for a touchdown and caught a pair of scoring passes as Hamilton snapped its 14-game regular-season losing streak against visiting Calgary.

Jeremiah Masoli was 25-of-34 for 192 yards and the two scoring strikes to Banks, who hauled in nine passes for 86 yards as the Tiger-Cats improved to 4-1 for the first time since 1998. Bralon Addison made seven catches for 49 yards and Maleek Irons finished with 81 yards from scrimmage for Hamilton, which beat the Stampeders for the first time since Sept. 25, 2011.

Nick Arbuckle completed 24-of-40 passes for 368 yards in his second CFL start after Bo Levi Mitchell was placed on the 6-game injured list as Calgary (2-2) suffered its second loss against an East Division team. Reginald Begelton gained 119 yards on eight receptions and ran for a touchdown while Ka'Deem Carey scored twice - once on a blocked punt - for the Stampeders.

Begelton took an end-around 6 yards for a touchdown 4:06 into the second quarter and Carey blocked a punt before returning it 4 yards for another score as Calgary built a 14-0 lead. Will Likely III responded by taking the ensuing kickoff back 110 yards to get the Tiger-Cats on the board, and Banks' 115-yard return of a missed field goal with 43 seconds left in the first half helped Hamilton tie the game at 16-16 at intermission.

Stampeders defensive back DaShaun Amos picked off a pass in the end zone midway through a scoreless third quarter, but Masoli came back to find Banks across the middle for a 22-yard scoring strike on second-and-21 with 12 minutes to go to give the Tiger-Cats a 23-16 lead. A 33-yard punt return by Terry Williams helped set up Carey's 3-yard TD run that forged a tie, but Masoli connected with Banks again for a 20-yard score with 2:44 left and Hamilton held on.
