Stampeders 36, Lions 32: Nick Arbuckle replaced an injured Bo Levi Mitchell and threw the go-ahead 3-yard touchdown pass with 31 seconds left in the fourth quarter as Calgary scored 15 points in the final 1:20 to stun visiting BC.

Arbuckle went 9-of-9 for 93 yards and added a rushing touchdown after Mitchell (23-of-34, 252 yards, two touchdowns) suffered a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter for the Stampeders, who trailed by as many as 21 points. Eric Rogers made nine catches for 100 yards and three TDs while Markeith Ambles caught nine passes for 108 yards for Calgary (1-1), which recovered an onside kick to set up the winning score.

Mike Reilly completed his first 14 passes to finish 36-of-42 for 354 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also running for a score for the Lions, who fell to 0-3 for the first time since 2011. John White accounted for 151 total yards and two TDs while Bryan Burnham hauled in 10 passes for 94 yards for BC.

White caught a 15-yard touchdown pass and plunged into the end zone from 1 yard out to put BC on top 15-0. Lemar Durant made a 22-yard touchdown catch to help extend the Lions' lead to 20 points before Mitchell fired a 3-yard scoring strike to Rogers and found Ambles for the 2-point conversion to pull Calgary within 22-10 at intermission.

Rene Paredes (43 yards) and Sergio Castillo (21) traded field goals as BC maintained its 12-point cushion before Rogers hauled in a 42-yard TD pass to help Calgary claw within four. Reilly scored on a 10-yard quarterback draw to seemingly put BC in the clear at 32-21 with 3:50 remaining, but Arbuckle rushed for a 1-yard touchdown and hit Rogers over the middle on the next drive to complete the comeback.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Burnham has caught at least one pass in 68 consecutive games. … Calgary DL Ivan McLennan suffered a leg injury in the first quarter and did not return. … Reilly registered the 44th 300-yard passing performance of his career. ..
