Lions 26, Stampeders 21:
Tyrell Sutton rushed for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his team debut as BC posted its first win in Calgary since Aug. 1, 2014.

Travis Lulay completed 14-of-26 passes for 193 yards after missing the previous three games with a shoulder injury as the Lions (8-7) moved into a tie with Edmonton for the crossover playoff spot. Bryan Burnham caught two passes for 65 yards and Ty Long kicked four field goals for BC, which has won five of its last six games.

Bo Levi Mitchell was limited to 215 yards on 17-of-38 passing with two touchdowns and an interception for the Stampeders (12-3), who missed an opportunity to clinch their third straight West Division title. Chris Matthews (three catches, 45 yards) and Markeith Ambles (five, 40) each caught a scoring pass for Calgary, which suffered its first home loss of the season.

Long booted field goals from 40 and 27 yards while Sutton rushed for a 3-yard touchdown as BC owned a 13-0 lead after one quarter. Sutton plunged into the end zone from 1 yard out late in the second to help increase the advantage to 16 points before Mitchell threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Matthews and a 14-yarder to Ambles in the final 2:18 of the quarter to pull the Stampeders within 20-18 at halftime.

Rene Paredes kicked a 35-yard field goal 4 1/2 minutes into the third to give Calgary its first lead before Long converted a 52-yard attempt to put the Lions back in front 23-21 heading into the fourth quarter. Long split the uprights from 39 yards with 8:46 remaining to put BC ahead by five, and the Lions held on to end their six-game slide against Calgary after Mitchell's third-down pass with 55 seconds to go was incomplete.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mitchell has thrown eight interceptions over his last five games. … Lions RB Chris Rainey, who leads the league in kickoff-return yards (1,176), was a healthy scratch. … BC lost LB Micah Awe to a knee injury in the second quarter. … Stampeders LB Alex Singleton made six tackles to become the ninth player in CFL history to reach 100 in back-to-back seasons.
