Dean returned an interception 60 yards for a TD and Lirim Hajrullahu kicked a 37-yard field goal to help the Tiger-Cats race out to a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter before Mitchell fired a 14-yard scoring strike to Marken Michel to pull the Stampeders within three points. Breaux scored on a 31-yard fumble return less than five minutes into the third quarter to put Hamilton back in front, but Terry Williams ran back a punt 83 yards for a score and Mitchell threw a 99-yard scoring pass to Begelton with 3 1/2 minutes left in the period to give Calgary a 34-25 cushion. Paredes tacked on a 24-yard field goal and Morris found the end zone from 3 yards out with 55 seconds remaining in the fourth as the Stampeders secured their 11th straight 10-win campaign.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Hamilton WR Brandon Banks, who leads the team in catches (69), receiving yards (1,033) and receiving touchdowns (seven), was a late scratch due to a groin injury. … Calgary WR DaVaris Daniels suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter and did not return. … Mitchell, who has thrown at least one touchdown pass in every game this season, improved to 11-0 against the Tiger-Cats.
