Bakari Grant made three catches for 85 yards and a TD while backup quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. added a rushing score for Saskatchewan, which improved to 7-2 against East Division opponents.

Trevor Harris was 37-of-60 for 457 yards and two touchdowns but threw two interceptions in his first career postseason start as the Redblacks (8-10-1) couldn't overcome three turnovers. Diontae Spencer hauled in nine passes for 157 yards and a TD while Juron Criner made 11 catches for 102 yards and a score for Ottawa, which finished with 500 yards from scrimmage.

Grant caught a 29-yard touchdown pass to cap a 6-play, 79-yard drive on the opening possession before Harris responded by lofting a 56-yard scoring strike to Spencer and found Criner for the 2-point conversion to put Ottawa in front 8-7 less than five minutes into the contest. Glenn rushed for a 1-yard TD and Adams called his own number from 1 yard out to help the Roughriders build a 21-8 lead at halftime.

Thigpen broke free for a 75-yard rushing touchdown early in the third quarter to put the Roughriders on top 28-11 before Brett Maher kicked a 29-yard field goal, but Tyler Crapigna answered with a 31-yarder on the final play of the period to help restore Saskatchewan's 17-point cushion. The defending Grey Cup champions tried to fight back as Criner caught a 5-yard touchdown pass with 1:47 remaining to close the gap to 31-20, but the Roughriders held on to advance to their first divisional final since 2013.
