Tiger-Cats 30, Blue Bombers 13: Jeremiah Masoli threw for 338 yards and two touchdowns as visiting Hamilton cruised past Winnipeg to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot in the East Division.

Masoli completed 27-of-33 passes and added another 48 yards on the ground while Brandon Banks hauled in six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown for the Tiger-Cats (4-10), who moved within three points of Ottawa for second place. Alex Green rushed for 97 yards and a score while Luke Tasker had a TD catch for Hamilton.

Matt Nichols was 14-of-18 for 158 yards and a touchdown before sitting out the second half with a hand injury as the Blue Bombers (10-4) suffered their first defeat in over a month. Timothy Flanders made a TD catch while Dominique Davis was limited to 84 yards on 9-of-14 passing in the second half for Winnipeg.

Banks hauled in a 60-yard scoring pass on the third play from scrimmage and Sergio Castillo connected on field goals from 38 and 50 yards out to put Hamilton on top 13-0 early in the second quarter. Nichols hit Flanders in stride for a 5-yard TD to get Winnipeg on the board before Castillo (33 yards) and Justin Medlock (48) traded field goals as the Tiger-Cats took a 16-10 lead into halftime.

Banks recovered an onside punt to set up Green's 1-yard touchdown run early in the third that stretched Hamilton's advantage to 22-10 after a failed two-point conversion and Medlock converted a 38-yard attempt to close the gap to nine with 2:31 remaining in the quarter. Tasker made a 3-yard touchdown catch to cap a 14-play, 100-yard drive that took 8:45 off the clock as the Tiger-Cats pulled ahead 30-13 with 5:56 to go and never looked back en route to a vital victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Castillo was carried off the field with a knee injury late in the second quarter and did not return. … Hamilton WR Felix Faubert-Lussier averaged 42 yards per punt in Castillo's absence. … Winnipeg RB Andrew Harris accounted for 91 total yards. … Tiger-Cats WR Jalen Saunders had six receptions for 94 yards.
