Brandon Bridge finished 6-of-7 for 91 yards and a touchdown toss to Devon Bailey, but Saskatchewan couldn't overcome eight penalties for 70 yards.

Paredes kicked a 38-yard field goal to put the Stampeders on top 3-0 as they held the Roughriders to 21 net yards in the first quarter. Paredes connected on a 36-yard kick to double the advantage, but Rob Maver conceded a safety and Calgary settled for a 6-2 lead at halftime.

Paredes converted attempts from 17 and 40 yards out in the third as Calgary continued to pound the ball with Messam, who rushed for 69 yards in the quarter. Bridge lofted a 14-yard touchdown pass to Bailey after Paredes nailed a 30-yarder to pull Saskatchewan within 15-9 with 4:27 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Roughriders drove deep into Calgary territory, but Ja'Gared Davis sacked Bridge and pounced on the loose ball with 34 seconds left to preserve the win for Calgary.
