Lions 41, Tiger-Cats 26: Travis Lulay came off the bench to throw for 436 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground as visiting BC posted its third straight win to spoil Hamilton's home opener.

Lulay completed 29-of-36 passes after replacing starter Jonathon Jennings, who left the game early in the first quarter with a shoulder injury, and set a CFL record for most passing yards in a relief role. Nick Moore hauled in 10 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown while Shaquille Johnson and Bryan Burnham also made TD catches for the Lions (3-1), who beat the Tiger-Cats for the fourth straight time.

Zach Collaros was 30-of-48 through the air for 361 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Hamilton (0-3), which lost for the ninth time in its last 11 home openers. Jalen Saunders had five receptions for 147 yards and a score while Sergio Castillo booted a 48-yard field goal to remain perfect (5-for-5) this season for the Tiger-Cats.

Hamilton capitalized on an interception and took an early lead on Jeremiah Masoli's 1-yard run before Ross Scheuerman ran 4 yards for a score 39 seconds into the second quarter to create a 13-6 advantage. Lulay's 1-yard TD run and a two-point conversion with 1:40 left in the second put BC ahead before T.J. Lee's interception set up Moore's 10-yard touchdown reception just 35 seconds later as the Lions settled for a 21-16 lead at the half.

Ty Long converted a 14-yard kick and Lulay (two interceptions) connected with Burnham for a 6-yard TD with 2:31 left in the third quarter to increase BC's advantage to 31-16. Collaros hit Saunders for a 25-yard touchdown to help Hamilton pull within 34-24 early in the final period, but Jeremiah Johnson (69 yards rushing) responded with a 4-yard scoring run for the Lions to provide sufficient insurance.
