Lions 28, Argonauts 15: Jonathon Jennings threw for 301 yards and one touchdown as visiting BC pulled away from Toronto in the fourth quarter to earn its first win of the season.

Jennings completed 23-of-35 passes, including a scoring toss to Chris Rainey, as the Lions (1-1) scored the final 18 points of the game. BC's Jeremiah Johnson rushed for 70 yards and a TD while Bryan Burnham caught nine passes for 118 yards.

Ricky Ray finished 30-of-45 for 327 yards and a touchdown for the Argos (1-1), who have lost four straight home meetings with the Lions. Armanti Edwards made 10 catches for 131 yards and a score for Toronto, which was held to 22 rushing yards.

Lirim Hajrullahu kicked an 11-yard field goal and Edwards caught a 4-yard touchdown pass to give Toronto its first lead at 15-10 before Jennings found Rainey in the back of the end zone for an 8-yard score to put BC back on top early in the fourth quarter. Ronnie Yell recovered a fumble by James Wilder Jr., which led to Johnson's 3-yard TD run three plays later with 4:36 remaining to make it 26-15 as the Lions pulled away and never looked back.

Ty Long (47 yards) and Hajrullahu (30) traded field goals in a first quarter, which was dominated by the defences. Long split the uprights from 43 yards out to help the Lions take a 7-3 lead before Johnny Sears Jr. picked off a pass from Jennings to set up Hajrullahu's 21-yard field goal on the last play of the second quarter to trim the deficit to one.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Lions have won eight of their last nine games against East Division opponents dating back to last season. … Ray needs two touchdown passes to become the sixth quarterback in CFL history to reach 300 for his career. … Lions LB Solomon Elimimian registered a game-high nine tackles.
