Lions 29, Redblacks 5: Mike Reilly threw for 286 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as BC trounced visiting Ottawa to end its seven-game losing streak.

Reilly completed 20-of-29 passes and threw for a pair of touchdowns while rushing for two more for the Lions (2-10), who notched their first win since July 6. Lemar Durant made four catches for 87 yards and a TD, Duron Carter hauled in a scoring pass and Brandon Rutley gained 111 yards on the ground for BC, which did not allow a sack after surrendering a league-high 45 in its previous 11 games.

Jonathon Jennings, who spent the previous four seasons in Vancouver, was 19-of-31 for 239 yards with a pair of interceptions for the Redblacks (3-9), whose losing streak reached five games. Dominique Rhymes hauled in five passes for 113 yards for Ottawa, which was held to fewer than 19 points for the fifth consecutive time.

Durant turned a slant pass into a 52-yard touchdown and Carter made a 28-yard TD catch in traffic as the Lions raced out to a 14-0 lead. Reilly scored on a 3-yard quarterback draw with 14 seconds remaining in the second quarter as BC racked up 276 yards of offence en route to a 21-0 halftime advantage.

Lewis Ward kicked a 32-yard field goal to get Ottawa on the board before Reilly scored on a 1-yard sneak on the final play of the third quarter to give the Lions a comfortable 25-point cushion. Jonathan Newsome sacked Jennings on third-and-goal to force a turnover on downs with 5:26 remaining and BC cruised the rest of the way to register its first home win of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Reilly moved past Sam Etcheverry (30,381) for 15th place on the CFL's all-time passing yards list. … Redblacks WR Brad Sinopoli, who has made 47 catches for 461 yards and three touchdowns in 2019, missed the game with an undisclosed injury. … Lions WR Bryan Burnham had nine receptions for 95 yards. … Ottawa quarterbacks have thrown a league-high 21 interceptions in 2019.
