Jalen Cone scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half and Fardaws Aimaq had 20 points and 14 rebounds in California's 81-66 road victory Saturday over Arizona State at Tempe, Ariz.

California, which never trailed, snapped a four-game losing streak at Arizona State.

The Sun Devils (11-11, 5-6 Pac-12) have lost six of their last seven games.

Jaylon Tyson also recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Keonte Kennedy finished with 12 points for California (9-13, 5-6).

Arizona State was led by 14 points apiece from Jamiya Neal and Alonzo Gaffney. Shawn Phillips Jr. and Frankie Collins each had 13 points.

The Golden Bears led 8-0 with 16:51 left in the first half and built a 10-2 margin before Arizona State made its first shot from the field with 15:14 remaining.

The Sun Devils, who shot 38.6 percent from the field in the game, trailed 24-10 in the first half after California scored on four straight possessions with a 3-pointer.

After Arizona State cut the lead to 29-21 on a 3-pointer by Neal, the Golden Bears responded by building a 36-23 lead with 1:46 remaining.

California led 38-26 at halftime behind Aimaq's 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and nine rebounds.

Aimaq scored the first six points of the second half to build the lead to 44-26.

Arizona State answered with a 9-0 run that included a Gaffney 3-pointer and dunk to cut the lead to 44-35 with 15:42 remaining.

Cone scored nine of California's 11 points in one stretch to increase the lead to 55-40 with 13:03 left. A 10-2 run by the Golden Bears extended the margin to 68-48 with 6:58 remaining.

Arizona State did not come closer than 15 points afterward.

The Golden Bears shot 50 percent from the field and were 16 of 19 from the free-throw line. Arizona State attempted only seven free throws and made four.

California posted 18 assists and outscored Arizona State 19-8 in fastbreak points.
