Jordan Miller scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as No. 15 Miami beat North Carolina 80-72 in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Monday night.

It was just the second double-double of the season for Miller, who also shot 9 of 14 from the floor. Nijel Pack nearly matched Miller's scoring total for Miami (21-5, 12-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), pouring in 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Isaiah Wong added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Hurricanes, who have won five straight games.

North Carolina (16-10, 8-7) has now lost four of its last five games. RJ Davis led the Tar Heels with 23 points while Caleb Love added 20. Leaky Black had 13 points and nine rebounds, while Armando Bacot mustered just 12 points and four boards before fouling out after 33 minutes of play.

North Carolina scored the first basket of the game on a 3-pointer from Love, but Miami took the first sizable lead, jumping ahead of the Tar Heels by six points after a 10-3 run. North Carolina then responded with a 21-12 run to take a 31-28 advantage. Love and Davis each had six points during that span for the Tar Heels.

Miami took a one-point lead into halftime thanks to a 3-pointer from Pack. In the second half, the Canes would pull ahead by as many as 14 points following a 15-2 run in which Pack had nine points.

North Carolina battled and cut the lead down to four points with 36 seconds left after a 3-pointer from Love, but never got any closer.

While Love made that clutch shot near the end of the game, North Carolina shot poorly from behind the arc, making just 16.1 percent (5 of 31) of its attempts from deep.

With Bacot in a bit of foul trouble in the second half, North Carolina was outrebounded by Miami, 40-32. North Carolina also missed six free throws, shooting 9 of 15 from the charity stripe, while the Canes were 22 of 26.
