Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua and Flo Thamba each scored a career-high 16 points on combined 14 of 14 shooting and No. 1 Baylor dominated in an easy 94-57 victory over Alcorn State on Monday in Waco, Texas, to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 17 games.

The Bears (11-0), who maintained the top spot in the rankings for a second straight week after a gritty 78-70 win at Oregon on Saturday, remained perfect at home this season. Baylor extended its home winning streak to a program-record 20 consecutive games and won its 35th straight contest against nonconference teams.

Baylor led by 19 points at halftime and turned up the heat a little more in the second half behind balanced scoring and better defensive execution, which held Alcorn State to 24.2 percent shooting from the floor in the second half.

The Bears had a stretch midway through the second half in which they hit eight of nine shots and extended their lead to 37 points before cruising to the final horn with their starters on the bench.

Kendall Brown also scored 16 points for Bears while James Akinjo added 14 and Adam Flagler tallied 12. LJ Cryer was held out of the game for Baylor as he nurses a right foot injury.

Dominic Brewton led all scorers with 19 points, with Darrious Agnew adding 12 for Alcorn State (1-10).

The Bears took control in the opening minutes, sprinting away to a 16-point lead after a layup by Dale Bonner at the 10:52 mark of the first half. After that early surge, Alcorn State played nearly even the rest of the half, cutting into its deficit on three separate occasions before Baylor settled for a 50-31 advantage at halftime.

Brown and Tchamwa Tchatchoua led the Bears with 11 points in the first half while Flagler added 10 points. Baylor outshot the Braves 60 percent to 54.2 percent in the half, forced nine turnovers that led to 17 points and outrebounded the visitors 16-10 over the first 20 minutes.

Brewton paced the Braves with 11 points at the half.
