Jordan Bohannon made a school record with 10 3-pointers and finished with 30 points and Keegan Murray also scored 30 to power Iowa to a 110-87 victory over Maryland in a Big Ten game on Thursday in College Park, Md.

Bohannon, who eclipsed the mark of nine accomplished twice by Chris Kingsbury in 1994, went 10-for-16 from long range and added five assists. His 10 3-pointers were tied for second-most in conference history, one shy of the record 11 made by Michigan State's Bryn Forbes in 2016.

Murray, whose league-leading average of 22.4 points per game was tied for fourth in Division I through Wednesday, went 12-for-14 from the field, including 2-for-3 from long distance. He also grabbed seven rebounds.

Payton Sandfort added nine points on 3-for-3 shooting from beyond the arc for Iowa (16-7, 6-6 Big Ten).

The Hawkeyes led by as many as 37 points in the second half and scored more points than any Maryland opponent in the history of Xfinity Center.

Iowa's 19 3-pointers -- on 34 attempts -- tied the school record set against Savannah State in 2018 and were three more than the Hawkeyes had ever made in a Big Ten game.

Fatts Russell had 20 points and six assists and Hakim Hart added 19 points for Maryland (11-13, 3-10), which lost its fourth straight game.

Iowa ended any hopes of a Maryland comeback by going on a 18-0 run early in the second half. The surge turned a 16-point halftime lead into a 77-45 advantage with 12:25 remaining.

Iowa shot 60 percent (39-for-65) from the field and outrebounded the Terrapins 37-28.

Maryland shot 47.4 percent (31-for-65) from the field, including 53.8 (14-for-26) from long distance but committed 12 turnovers that led to 19 Iowa points.

Leading by one with 8:45 left in the first half, Iowa took control of the game for good with a 28-13 run to take a 57-41 lead at intermission.
