Gibson Jimerson finished with 19 points, Yuri Collins scored 14 and dished out a career-high 19 assists, and Saint Louis defeated visiting Boston College 79-68 in a nonconference matchup on Saturday night.

Collins' assist total was the highest for any player in Division I this season and set the Billikens' program record. Jim Roder had a then-record 17 assists for Saint Louis in a game against Southern Miss. in the 1986-87 season.

Francis Okoro added 19 points and six rebounds off the bench, and Jordan Nesbitt chipped in 11 points for Saint Louis (8-3), which snapped its two-game losing streak.

The Billikens finished 29-of-55 from the field (52.7 percent) and went 11-of-27 from 3-point range (40.7 percent).

Makai Ashton-Langford scored 18 to lead Boston College (6-4), which had its three-game win streak snapped. DeMarr Langford Jr. had 14 points, five rebounds and four steals, and Jaeden Zackery contributed 12 points for the Eagles.

The Eagles were held to 42.4 percent shooting from the floor (25-of-59) and made just three of its 17 3-point attempts (17.6 percent).

The Billikens led 36-19 at halftime and went up by as many as 23 points in the closing period. Ashton-Langford's 3-pointer with 17 seconds remaining in the game pulled BC within 75-68.

Quinten Post's layup with 13:33 to go in the first period brought the Eagles within 13-11. Jimerson hit a 3-pointer at the 12:00 mark to spark a 13-6 push to put Saint Louis in control 26-14 with 3:52 left before halftime.

Eagles guard Brevin Galloway did not dress and forward Frederick Scott did not travel with the team.

Boston College hosts Albany on Monday before resuming its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule at Wake Forest on Wednesday. Saint Louis is off until next Saturday, when it plays host to No. 18 Auburn.
