Rodrigue Andela made two free throws with 57 seconds remaining in overtime, then blocked a shot on the ensuing possession to help Oregon State beat UCLA 83-79 in a Pac-12 tournament quarterfinal matchup Thursday in Las Vegas.

The fifth-seeded Beavers (15-12) got 22 points and 10 rebounds from Warith Alatishe and overcame a deficit of as many as 16 points in the first half.

Ethan Thompson scored 18 points before fouling out, helping Oregon State win for the fourth time in five games. Jarod Lucas added 17 points and Zach Reichle had 11 for the Beavers, who will oppose top-seeded Oregon on Friday in the semifinals.

UCLA (17-9) took its fourth consecutive loss despite getting 19 points and 10 rebounds from Jules Bernard. Johnny Juzang scored 12 points and Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 11.

Thompson was one of three Beavers disqualified due to fouls, joining Roman Silva and Gianni Hunt. Cody Riley and Jaquez fouled out for UCLA.

Oregon State began chipping away at the 10-point halftime deficit immediately in the second half when Thompson knocked down a 3-pointer off a takeaway.

The teams combined to shoot 56 free throws overall, including the two from Andela that ultimately gave Oregon State the final edge, and Bernard's attempts to close out regulation.

Bernard went to the foul line with UCLA trailing by a point and three seconds remaining. He missed the first of the two attempts, but his second sent the game to overtime.

On the preceding possession, Hunt intercepted Tyger Campbell's pick-and-roll pass intended for Mac Etienne, then found Alatishe on the other end for a go-ahead floater with 11 seconds remaining.

That basket gave Oregon State its first lead of the game since 10-9.

UCLA did not make a field goal for the final 3:56 of regulation. The Bruins shot 27 of 63 (42.9 percent) from the floor, including 5 of 20 from behind the 3-point arc.

The Beavers made 42.4 percent (25 of 59) of their field-goal attempts and hit 10 of 25 long-range attempts.

UCLA shot 20 of 27 at the free-throw line to Oregon State's 23 of 29.
