Corey Kispert recorded 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting and collected seven rebounds to lead top-ranked Gonzaga to a 95-57 victory over Northwestern State on Monday night in Spokane, Wash.

The nonconference game was the first of back-to-back contests between the two clubs.

Anton Watson contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and three blocked shots for the Bulldogs (5-0). Jalen Suggs added 12 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, and Drew Timme recorded 12 points and eight rebounds as Gonzaga cruised in its first home game of the season.

Dominick Harris scored 10 points in 19 minutes off the bench for Gonzaga, which held a dominating 46-22 rebounding edge. The Bulldogs shot 55 percent from the field and made 8 of 21 3-point attempts.

Carvell Teasett scored 16 points and Jairus Roberson added 12 on four 3-pointers for Northwestern State (1-8), which lost its third straight game. The Demons have dropped the three contests by an average of 30.7 points.

Northwestern State made 37.5 percent of its shots and was 7 of 25 from behind the arc. The Demons committed 20 turnovers while the Zags had 14 giveaways.

The teams will meet again Tuesday night in Spokane in a hastily schedule game with the Demons slated to play Wednesday at Washington State.

Gonzaga's first-half play wasn't of the knockout variety, but the Bulldogs started the second half on a 21-9 surge to turn a 13-point lead into a 64-39 advantage.

Timme and Kispert began the second half with dunks and Kispert later scored on a put-back to increase the margin to 53-33 with 16:43 remaining.

A short time later, Suggs buried a 3-pointer to start a 7-0 run as the Bulldogs took a 64-39 lead with 12:09 left.

Four minutes later, Julian Strawther slammed home a dunk during a 10-0 surge as Gonzaga's lead went over 30 at 76-45 with eight minutes remaining. Harris added two free throws 39 seconds later to cap the burst.

Gonzaga's lead topped out at 38 points.

Kispert scored 15 first-half points to help the Bulldogs lead 43-30 at the break.

Kispert poured in 11 points in the first 6:33 as Gonzaga jumped out to a 19-5 advantage.

Northwestern State missed 12 of its first 14 shots but temporarily found life when Teasett converted a four-point play with 11:39 to play in the half. That started a 10-1 run in which the Demons crept within 20-15 with 10:15 left before the break.
