Jalen Tate hit two free throws with 4.3 seconds left to give Arkansas an 81-80 win at Kentucky in an SEC contest on Tuesday.

It was the first win for Arkansas over Kentucky since Feb. 27, 2014.

Tate finished with 15 points, Moses Moody scored 14 points and Connor Vanover added 12 points for Arkansas (15-5, 7-4 SEC), which has won five straight league games.

Brandon Boston Jr. scored 17 points, Olivier Sarr had 13 points and Davion Mintz and Devin Askew each scored 11 points in defeat for Kentucky (5-13, 4-7), which lost its fourth straight.

Trailing 78-74, Kentucky closed to within 78-77 with 28 seconds remaining on a 3-pointer by Boston.

After JD Notae of Arkansas split a pair of free throws with 22.8 seconds left, Mintz hit a 3-pointer with 13.2 seconds remaining to give Kentucky an 80-79 lead.

Arkansas bypassed a timeout, drove quickly down the court and got off a couple of missed shot attempts before Tate was fouled after pulling down an offensive rebound.

Trailing 40-39 with 18:31 remaining, Arkansas surged ahead after that.

The Razorbacks went on a 13-2 run over a span of 3:05 to take a 52-42 lead with 15:27 left in the game.

Kentucky chipped away at the lead from there, closing with five at 65-60 with 8:05 remaining after a 3-pointer by Sarr.

Arkansas restored its lead to double-digits at 72-60 with 6:10 remaining following a 7-0 run, but Kentucky answered with back-to-back 3-pointers by Boston and Sarr, and a dunk by Sarr to close within 72-68 with 4:19 remaining.

Sarr then hit another 3-pointer with 2:15 left to pull Kentucky within three at 76-73.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team holding a lead bigger than six points. Arkansas ended up taking a 36-35 lead into the locker room at halftime.
