Mitch Ballock and Marcus Zegarowski each scored 20 points, and No. 11 Creighton hit a season-high 17 3-pointers to bounce back from its worst Big East loss of the season, routing visiting Georgetown 91-76 on Wednesday night at Omaha, Neb.

Ty-Shon Alexander had 18 points for the Bluejays (23-7, 12-5 Big East), who shot 50 percent from the field and knocked down 17 of 36 3-pointers to rebound from a 91-71 loss at St. John's on Sunday. Creighton, which still has plenty to play for in the Big East, went a season-worst 4 of 27 from beyond the arc against the Red Storm, but was 9 of 19 from distance while leading 48-33 at halftime of this contest.

Jahvon Blair had 22 points with seven rebounds and seven assists, as Qudus Wahab added 14 with 12 rebounds for Georgetown (15-15, 5-12), which lost its fifth in a row.

The Hoyas, who beat Creighton 83-80 at home on Jan. 15, shot 40 percent and were again without their top two scorers -- 7-footer Omer Yurtseven (15.8 points, 10.0 rebounds per game) and guard Mac McClung (15.7 ppg) -- due to injuries.

The Bluejays essentially put the game away thanks to runs of 10-0 and 9-0 in the first half. A Zegarowski 3-pointer and bucket from Damien Jefferson put Creighton up 29-20, and a technical on Georgetown coach Patrick Ewing led to two more free throws that pushed the lead to 31-20.

Alexander and Zegarowski combined for 23 points and five 3-pointers in the first half for Creighton, which pushed the lead to 19 with just over a minute to play before the break. Ballock, 6 of 13 from beyond the arc, hit back-to-back 3s early in the second half to put the Bluejays up 60-39 with just under 16 minutes to play in the game.

Alexander's 3 with 5:41 left in the game broke Creighton's previous season high of 15 from distance. Zegarowski's triple with 3 1/2 minutes to play gave the hosts their biggest lead of the night at 91-65.

Creighton has won six straight at home, where it is 16-1 this season. The Bluejays have won five in a row at home over Georgetown.
