Ron Harper Jr.'s 18 points contributed to Rutgers' 68-48 victory over injury-riddled 22nd-ranked Seton Hall on Saturday at the Rutgers Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J.

Seton Hall All-American guard Myles Powell did not return after halftime and was diagnosed with a concussion. Powell led the Pirates (6-4) with six points at halftime when they trailed 36-23.

Seton Hall was already without starting forward Sandro Mamukelashvili, who is expected to miss up to three months with a fractured right wrist suffered last week at Iowa State.

Myles Johnson had 13 rebounds for Rutgers (8-3) Akwasi Yeboah scored 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds. The balanced scoring extended to Caleb McConnell, who contributed nine points, while Johnson and Geo Baker each posted eight.

Seton Hall's Quincy McKnight was the only Pirate in double-figure scoring with 11 points.

Rutgers' eight wins are all at home. Part of the capacity crowd rushed the court after the victory over the Scarlet Knights' rivals from New Jersey. Seton Hall's campus is only 17 miles away.

The game marked the largest margin of victory by Rutgers over Seton Hall since 1998.

Rutgers was never threatened after taking a 14-0 lead with 14:29 left in the first half as Seton Hall missed its first nine field goal attempts. The Pirates did not score until Anthony Nelson made a 3-pointer with 14:01 remaining.

The Scarlet Knights, who led by as many as 21 points in the first half, limited Seton Hall to 29 percent shooting from the field by halftime.

The Pirates finished shooting 32.2 percent from the field, including 8 of 27 from 3-point range.

Rutgers dominated the rebounding battle 46-29, which contributed to a 12-2 advantage in second-chance points and a 32-16 margin in points in the paint.
