CJ Massinburg had 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and No. 21 Buffalo held off a late surge by Miami (Ohio) to emerge with a 77-69 win on Friday at Oxford, Ohio.

Nick Perkins and Jayvon Graves scored 13 points apiece for the Bulls, who clinched at least a share of the Mid-American Conference East Division title with two games remaining in the regular season.

Davonta Jordan added 12 points, five rebounds and six assists as Buffalo (26-3, 14-2 MAC) won its seventh straight game.

Dalonte Brown and Nike Sibande had 15 points apiece for the RedHawks (15-14, 7-9) while Bam Bowman supplied 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Bulls shot 42.6 percent from the field, while Miami made 40 percent of its shots.

The Bulls seemed to be in control when Graves made a layup with 5:36 left in the first half that gave them a 35-17 lead.

Miami then surged back with a 16-2 run to finish the half. Sibande scored five of those points.

Buffalo shot 48.4 percent and Miami connected on 46.2 percent of its attempts in the first 20 minutes, but both clubs committed 10 turnovers.

The RedHawks also scored the first points of the second half on an Abdoulaye Harouna jumper, but Buffalo maintained a modest lead. The Bulls then gave themselves some breathing room with a 13-4 spurt for a 57-45 advantage. Massinburg led that charge with seven points and an assist. Perkins finished off the run with a 3-pointer.

When Massinburg made a layup with 8:38 left, the Bulls' lead was up to 67-52. The RedHawks refused to fold and steadily chipped away at the deficit.

Miami reeled off 11 unanswered points, capped by a Sibande layup. Graves finally answered for Buffalo with a 3-pointer.

A pair of Brown free throws with 2:31 left once again cut the Bulls' advantage to three. A three-point play by Dontay Caruthers and a 3-pointer by Perkins allowed the Bulls to survive.
