Chris Silva scored 22 points and added 17 rebounds as visiting South Carolina snapped a three-game skid with a 71-54 victory over Texas A&M on Tuesday in College Station, Texas.

Hassani Gravett joined Silva by making four 3-pointers for the Gamecocks (15-15, 10-7 Southeastern Conference), who once again relied on their shooting from behind the arc against the Aggies. South Carolina went 8 of 10 from 3-point range in the first half and finished 13 of 23 on Tuesday after drilling a program record-tying 16 3-pointers in an 84-77 win over Texas A&M on Feb. 16.

Gravett finished with 17 points and Keyshawn Bryant added 15 for the Gamecocks, who played without freshman guard A.J. Lawson (ankle) for the second straight game.

Wendell Mitchell scored 15 points and Savion Flagg added 14 for the Aggies (13-16, 6-11), who fell for the third time in their last eight outings.

After averaging just 62 points during its last three games, South Carolina found its stroke from 3-point range to go nearly wire-to-wire in this one.

Gravett drilled a trio of 3-pointers while Silva and Felipe Haase each made both of their attempts to give the Gamecocks a 39-34 lead at intermission.

South Carolina continued to shoot from long range, with Haase connecting from straightaway to begin the second half before Silva drained a trio of 3-pointers in a two-minute span to boost its lead to 52-40.

With Texas A&M respecting the Gamecocks' exterior game, South Carolina exploited the interior as Maik Kotsar made a turnaround jumper while Gravett's layup and Silva's dunk lifted the advantage to 62-45 with 7:54 remaining. The Aggies began to clamp down on the interior and Tre Campbell and Gravett made 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions to help the Gamecocks pull away.

South Carolina started quickly, seizing a 16-6 lead, highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance from 3-point range.

Texas A&M trimmed the deficit to 27-24 following a three-point play by Jay Jay Chandler with 5:25 to play in the first half. Silva, however, turned the tide by promptly draining a 3-pointer to double the advantage for South Carolina.
