Sophomore forward PJ Washington recorded 18 points and eight rebounds to help No. 4 Kentucky post a 66-58 victory over Missouri on Tuesday night in Southeastern Conference play at Columbia, Mo.

Freshman guard Tyler Herro also scored 18 points as the Wildcats (22-4, 11-2 SEC) prevailed for the 12th time in their past 13 games. Freshman guard Ashton Hagans added 12 points.

Junior guard Ronnie Suggs scored 13 points for the Tigers (12-13, 3-10), who lost for the 10th time in their past 13 contests. Senior guard Jordan Geist added 11 points.

Missouri shot just 37.3 percent from the field, including 9 of 27 from 3-point range.

Kentucky shot 47.6 percent and was 7 of 19 from behind the arc.

Wildcats senior forward Reid Travis sprained his right knee with 10:24 left and missed the remainder of the contest.

Tigers sophomore forward Mitchell Smith departed the game with 7:02 remaining in the first half due to concussion symptoms after being hit in the head with an elbow by Wildcats freshman forward EJ Montgomery. Smith also didn't return.

Freshman guard Javon Pickett scored nine straight Missouri points, including back-to-back baskets, as the Tigers pulled within 56-45 with 4:38 remaining.

Missouri later moved within 60-50 when freshman guard Torrence Watson drained a 3-pointer with 2:39 left.

Suggs knocked down a 3-pointer as the Tigers crept within 62-55 with 1:02 remaining. Missouri got as close as six before Herro made two free throws with 11.2 seconds left to seal it.

Herro made all eight of his foul shots for Kentucky, which connected on 19 of 22 attempts. Missouri was just 5 of 7 from the line.

Washington scored 15 points and Herro added 10 as Kentucky took a 41-23 lead into the break.

Johnson's three-point play capped a 22-8 spurt that saw the Wildcats take a 32-19 lead with 4:04 left before halftime.

Sophomore forward Nick Richards scored the final five points of the half to give Kentucky the 18-point edge.
