Jaron Blossomgame had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead a balanced attack and Clemson extended its winning streak to eight games with an 87-73 victory over North Carolina Wilmington on Wednesday night in Clemson, S.C.

The Tigers (10-2) shot from 55.6 percent from the field and produced 18 assists. Avry Holmes (13 points), Elijah Thomas (12), Sidy Djitte (11) and Sheldon Mitchell (10) also scored in double figures.

The Seahawks (11-2) shot 40 percent from the field, including 25.8 percent from 3-point range. They were led by Denzel Ingram's 20 points and six assists. C.J. Bryce contributed 18 points.

Clemson established control of the game in the first half behind Thomas' 10 points and five blocked shots. The Tigers built a 44-31 halftime lead by shooting 55.6 percent from the field.

Thomas made all four of his shots from the field in the first half and Djitte made 3 of 4 for six points to go along with five rebounds.

Djitte finished with a team-high eight rebounds. Clemson outrebounded UNC Wilmington 41-31.

Clemson went on a 15-6 run to pull away to a 15-point lead late in the first half. A 9-2 run capped by a dunk by Thomas with 13:11 left in the game increased the Tigers' lead to 63-44.

UNC Wilmington did not draw closer than 14 points afterward. The Seahawks trailed by as many as 24 before a late rally against Clemson's reserves.
