Guard Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 26 points and Georgia Tech recovered after letting nearly all of its double-digit lead disappear, ending a three-game losing streak by winning 90-83 against North Carolina State on Wednesday night at PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C..

Forward Nick Jacobs and guard Adam Smith, who made four 3-pointers, each poured in 20 points for Georgia Tech (12-8, 2-5 Atlantic Coast Conference). Forward Charles Mitchell, in a rare reserve role, added 11 points.

Guard Anthony Barber scored 36 points, reaching the 30-point mark for the fourth time this season for N.C. State (11-10, 1-7), which slumped to 0-4 in ACC home games.

Forward Abdul-Malik Abu, a sophomore, added a career-high 22 points. N.C. State guard Maverick Rowan had 13 points, all in the second half.

Georgia Tech held a 47-33 halftime lead, but that Wolfpack's surge at the start of the second half cut the gap to 54-53 with more than 11 minutes to play.

The Yellow Jackets responded with a 15-1 run as N.C. State went almost five minutes without a field goal.

Rowan was scoreless until scoring eight points in a three-minute stretch beginning at the 6:05 mark. He hit back-to-back 3-pointers to trim the deficit to 76-68 with less than four minutes to play.

Rowan missed from long range with the score at 80-74 with 1:30 left. After four consecutive Georgia Tech free throws, Rowan connected on another 3.

N.C. State had won the last five meetings with Georgia Tech. Wednesday's outcome marked only the third victory in 14 appearances at PNC Arena for the Yellow Jackets.
