Gabe York added 15 points and Stanley Johnson finished with 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds for Arizona (5-0), which will play No. 15 San Diego State in Wednesday’s title game. Brandon Ashley contributed 10 points but committed half of the Wildcats’ 12 turnovers.

Marcus Foster scored 10 of his 23 points in the final 5:03 for Kansas State, but missed a free throw with 5.7 seconds left that would have cut the deficit to one. Thomas Gipson, Wesley Iwundu and Nino Williams added nine points apiece for the Wildcats, who play Pittsburgh in Wednesday's third-place game.

Arizona led by five when Foster knocked down his sixth 3-pointer - and his third in the closing minutes - to pull the Wildcats within two with 13 seconds remaining. Johnson made 1-of-2 free throws on the other end to extend the lead to three, then intentionally fouled Foster in the backcourt, sending him to the free-throw line a final time.

Arizona used a 10-0 run just before the midway point of the second half to take its biggest lead 52-43. Kansas State got the deficit back down to four on three-point play by Jevon Thomas with 7:15 remaining then continued to chip away.
