Corey Allen Jr. scored 15 points to lead the offense for USF (7-18, 1-11), which dropped its 10th straight game and fell to 2-17 since winning five of its first six to start the season. Troy Holston Jr. added 14 points while Bo Zeigler and Dinero Mercurius each finished with 10 for the Bulls, who shot 35.7 percent from the field, including a mere 4-of-21 from 3-point range.

The teams were evenly matched out of the gate before Adonys Henriquez's bucket snapped an early 10-10 tie, sparking a 16-1 surge that gave UCF a 26-11 edge with just over eight minutes remaining until halftime. USF fought back, using a 9-2 run that featured a 3-pointer from Mercurius to pull within 28-20 and managed to hit the locker room at the half facing a manageable 35-26 deficit, despite an 11-for-33 first-half shooting performance.

After the break, Zeigler and Anthony Collins connected early to pull the Bulls within 35-30 in the opening minutes before a 15-4 spurt from the Knights, led by nine points from Wilson, staked UCF to a 50-34 lead just ahead of the midway point of the period. A 3-pointer from Holston got USF back to within 61-52 with less than four minutes remaining, but Taylor answered with a three-point play and Blair had seven points in the final three minutes to help wrap things up for the Knights.
