No. 20 Baylor 79, No. 13 Iowa State 70: Taurean Prince scored 20 points as the Bears made a season-high 14 3-pointers and snapped the Cyclones’ 21-game home winning streak.

Kenny Chery had 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists while Lester Medford added 12 points for Baylor (21-7, 9-6 Big 12), which was 14-of-26 from 3-point range and recorded its first-ever win in Ames covering 13 games. Rico Gathers and Royce O’Neale added 10 points apiece as the Bears won their third straight.

Jameel McKay led Iowa State (20-7, 10-5) with 21 points and eight rebounds while Georges Niang collected 14 points and six rebounds. Matt Thomas chipped in 13 points for the Cyclones, who were 6-of-24 from beyond the arc and fell one game behind first-place Kansas in the Big 12 standings.

Baylor was 7-of-13 from 3-point range in the opening period and took a 40-37 lead into the break. Iowa State moved ahead 64-57 with just under eight minutes left before the Bears made six straight 3-pointers during a 19-4 run to regain the lead at 76-68 with 1:45 remaining.

Prince, who grabbed six rebounds and had two blocks, drained three of his four 3-pointers during the Bears’ decisive run, which began soon after coach Scott Drew used the last of his three timeouts of the half. Monte Morris had nine points and six assists for the Cyclones, who committed 12 turnovers.
