Ole Miss 59, Tennessee 57: Stefan Moody had 22 points and a career-high six steals as the Rebels held off the visiting Volunteers in an SEC.

Jarvis Summers added 13 points and eight assists for Ole Miss (19-8, 10-4 SEC), which has won eight of its last nine and remains tied for third with Texas A&M in conference play. Sebastian Saiz finished with eight points and Ladarius White paced the reserves with five.

Armani Moore had 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists to lead Tennessee (14-12, 6-8), which started 4-1 in conference play. Josh Richardson added 13 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Kevin Punter scored 12 for the Volunteers, who have lost three straight for the first time this season

Moody, coming off a career high-tying 29 points in Thursday’s victory at Mississippi State, made two free throws with 1:54 remaining to give the Rebels the lead for good 58-57 and a video review with 34.5 seconds left reversed an out-of-bounds call and gave possession back to Ole Miss. Summers made 1-of-2 from the line and Richardson missed a 3 and a pull-up jumper at the buzzer after Tennessee collected the offensive rebound.

The Rebels led by as many as seven in the first half but the Volunteers closed with a 7-0 run to take a 30-27 lead into the break. Tennessee extended its lead to eight three times in the first eight minutes, but Ole Miss came back with 3-pointers each time and eventually caught the Volunteers at 47 and continued the 10-0 run that put it on top 52-47 with 8:05 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ole Miss, which came in ranked second in the nation in free-throw shooting at 78.9, shot 6-for-10 from the line. … Punter shot 4-for-8 from the 3-point arc after coming in 2-for-15 in his last four games. … Tennessee won the rebounding battle 37-28.
