Karl-Anthony Towns matched a season high with 19 points and also contributed 10 rebounds and four blocked shots as the host Wildcats remained unbeaten by routing the Tigers in SEC play.

Aaron Harrison scored 18 points and Dakari Johnson added 13 as Kentucky (27-0, 14-0) defeated Auburn for the 17th consecutive time. Andrew Harrison had 12 points and a season-high nine assists for the Wildcats, who shot 64.7 percent from the field and possessed a dominating 44-22 rebounding edge while recording a season high for points.

Antoine Mason had a season-high 29 points to go with four steals for the Tigers (12-15, 4-10), who lost for the eighth time in 10 games. KT Harrell added 17 points but standout frontcourt performer Cinmeon Bowers had only six points while going 2-of-10 from the field and 2-of-9 from the free-throw line.

Kentucky began its assault by opening the game with nine straight points and made 10-of-15 shots over the first eight minutes while taking a 23-2 lead on Devin Booker’s 3-pointer. Johnson’s basket made it 30-4 with 9:18 left in the half and the Wildcats shot 61.8 percent from the field and took a 52-26 lead into the break.

Auburn trailed 63-42 with under 14 minutes remaining before Kentucky went on an 11-1 run to push the lead to 31 points on Johnson’s layup with 10:58 to play. Willie Cauley-Stein’s dunk off a long blind behind-the-back pass from Tyler Ulis made it 95-61 with 6:13 remaining, the Wildcats reached 100 on two free throws by Aaron Harrison with 3:20 remaining and the lead topped out at 38 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Towns went 8-of-9 from the field and Johnson hit 6-of-7 field-goal attempts. … Mason made five 3-pointers as Auburn went 11-of-19 from behind the arc. … Booker (11) and Ulis (10) also scored in double figures for the Wildcats.
