Memphis 75, USF 48: Shaq Goodwin scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the visiting Tigers past the Bulls in American Athletic Conference play.

Avery Woodson added 11 points for Memphis (15-10, 7-5 AAC), which snapped a two-game losing streak. Nick King contributed nine points off the bench for the Tigers, who had 11 steals on 18 USF turnovers.

Ruben Guerrero set a career high, scoring 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting for the Bulls (7-19, 1-12), who suffered their 11th straight loss and fell to 2-18 since winning five of their first six games. Bo Zeigler added 10 points and six blocks for USF, which shot 37.3 percent and missed all seven of its attempts from 3-point range.

With Memphis up 10-6 early in the first half, a 7-2 spurt, capped by a 3-pointer from Trahson Burrell, stretched the lead to 17-8 as the Tigers began to take control near the midway point of the period. The Memphis first-half lead would grow to as much as 15 before USF closed the half on a 7-2 run, led by four points from Guerrero, to hit the locker room at halftime down 31-21.

After the break, the Bulls scored the second half's first seven points and stayed within 37-33 until a 24-4 explosion, featuring a pair of 3-pointers from Woodson and eight points from Goodwin, stretched the Tigers' lead to 61-37 with just under eight minutes to play. Troy Holston Jr. temporarily stopped Memphis' dominance, splitting a pair of free throws and converting a layup on consecutive possessions but Pookie Powell answered with a 3-pointer to spark six more unanswered points and the Tigers cruised down the stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis entered play leading the AAC, averaging 67 points. ... USF F Chris Perry missed his seventh straight game with an undisclosed illness. ... The Tigers dished out 18 assists and committed 11 turnovers, while the Bulls finished with eight assists.
