No. 11 Notre Dame 60, Clemson 58: Jerian Grant recorded 22 points and dished out five assists to go along with three steals as the Fighting Irish used a late run to defeat the host Tigers in ACC play.

Pat Connaughton drained three 3-pointers en route to 14 points for Notre Dame (22-4, 10-3 ACC), which rebounded from a 30-point loss at Duke on Saturday by finishing the game with an 8-2 burst. Demetrius Jackson chipped in with 11 points, including two big baskets late, and added six rebounds for the Irish.

Jaron Blossomgame led the way with 17 points and 14 rebounds for Clemson (14-10, 6-6), which has lost two in a row after winning four straight. Damarcus Harrison added 15 points off the bench for the Tigers, but misfired on a 3-pointer at the buzzer that could have won it after Blossomgame missed a leaning shot on the right side of the lane seconds earlier.

Rod Hall’s three-point play pushed Clemson’s lead to four with 4:07 left before Grant made two free throws and Jackson scored on two straight tip-ins for a 58-56 lead with 2:17 to go. Grant drained a jumper with 42.8 seconds remaining, Hall answered with a basket and the Tigers had two shots in the final seconds to tie or win it.

Blossomgame scored 11 as Clemson led by as many as eight in the first half, but Grant had 12 and his 3-pointer at the buzzer pulled Notre Dame within 31-29 at intermission. Connaughton scored six quick points in the second half as the Irish surged in front, but the Tigers fought back and led 47-46 after Blossomgame’s rebound dunk with 9:48 to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Grant is one assist away from becoming the second player in Notre Dame history with at least 1,500 points and 600 assists, joining Chris Thomas. … Clemson’s streak of holding five straight opponents to lower than 40 percent shooting came to an end as the Irish connected on 43.1 percent from the field and made 6-of-17 from 3-point range. ... It was Notre Dame’s first visit to Clemson; the Irish lead the series 2-0.
