No. 2 Gonzaga 77, Santa Clara 63: Kyle Wiltjer scored 15 of his team-high 22 points in the second half as the visiting Bulldogs shot 69 percent while rallying to win their 16th straight game.

Byron Wesley finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, Gary Bell Jr. scored 16 points and Domantas Sabonis added nine points and nine rebounds for Gonzaga (23-1, 11-0 WCC). The Bulldogs connected on 15-of-21 shots in the second half and finished 5-of-6 from 3-point range.

Jared Brownridge scored a game-high 25 points, including 4-of-4 3-pointers, for Santa Clara (11-13, 5-6), which lost its third straight game. The Broncos stayed in it early by forcing 14 turnovers which led to a 21-9 edge in points off turnovers.

Gonzaga looked like it was going to blow the Broncos out early, connecting on 10 of its first 12 shots including three 3-pointers by Bell while bolting to a 23-12 lead in the first eight minutes. But Brownridge heated up after that, hitting a 3-pointer to cap a 10-0 run to give Santa Clara its first lead, 27-25, and scoring the final 12 points of the half for the Broncos who capitalized on 10 turnovers by the Zags to take a 36-34 halftime lead.

Gonzaga trailed by as many as six points early in the second half before taking control with a 20-4 run over a 8 1/2-minute span to go ahead 60-50 with nine minutes remaining. The Zags extended the lead to 13 points 67-54 after a free throw by Bell with 5:20 to go and Santa Clara never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gonzaga trailed at halftime for only the second time this season and for the first time since Dec. 2 when it rallied from a 33-32 halftime deficit to defeat Southeastern Louisiana 76-57. ... Brownridge has scored 20 or more points in a game five times this season. ... Gonzaga PG Kevin Pangos finished with five points and six assists and attempted just one shot, a 3-pointer that he sank early in the second half.
