Darius Carter also scored 10 points as the Shockers rebounded from their first regular-season league loss in 23 months.

Two more free throws by Sutherland cut it to 60-59, but Fred VanVleet hit a pair of free throws with 4.6 seconds left and Evan Wessel sealed the victory with a steal.

Carter scored seven points as Wichita State opened an 11-point lead and extended it to 33-16 behind five straight points by Cotton before Bradley closed the half with a 6-2 run to pull within 35-22. The Braves whittled the deficit to 39-34 five minutes into the second half before Baker knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and VanVleet converted a three-point play to make it 50-36 with 12:38 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baker is six points shy from becoming the 43rd player in school history to score 1,000. ... Bradley, already down leading scorer Warren Cooper and G Ka’Darryl Bell due to suspensions, lost G Anthony Fields for the remainder of the season after he suffered a torn meniscus in his knee during Saturday's practice. ... The Shockers matched their longest MVC winning streak against one school, having also won 11 in a row versus Drake from 1981-86.
