Georgia 69, Ole Miss 64: Marcus Thornton scored 16 points and J.J. Frazier hit two key 3-pointers down the stretch as the host Bulldogs moved above .500 in SEC play.

Charles Mann scored all 12 of his points in the second half for Georgia (12-5, 3-2 SEC), which won for the ninth time in 11 games despite shooting 21-of-31 from the free-throw line. Frazier scored 11 points, including two free throws in the final minute, and Nemanja Djurisic added 11 points.

Stefan Moody went 10-of-10 from the foul line en route to tying a career high with 26 points for Ole Miss (11-7, 2-3). Sebastain Saiz finished with nine points and a career-high 10 rebounds for the Rebels, who shot 4-of-18 from 3-point range.

Frazier’s 3-pointer from the right wing with 5:11 to go snapped a 51-51 tie and, Frazier answered Moody’s two free throws that cut the lead to one with another 3-pointer from the right side before Djurisic followed with a dunk with 3:35 to play to push Georgia’s lead to 61-55. Moody scored five straight points on a three-point play and two free throws to cut the deficit to 61-60, and after Djurisic and Thornton each hit 1-of-2 free throws, Frazier sank two with 34.9 seconds left for a five-point lead.

Ole Miss led by eight points late in the first half and carried a 31-25 lead into intermission, but the Bulldogs held the Rebels scoreless for nearly six minutes during a 15-5 spurt – capped by Thornton’s dunk with 8:15 to play – that put Georgia ahead 51-44. Moody made three free throws and Jarvis Summers’ short jumper with 7:25 left brought Ole Miss within 51-49.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Moody recorded his fifth 20-point game of the season. … Georgia G Juwan Parker (Achilles), who has started 14 games this season, did not play and is expected to miss significant time, coach Mark Fox indicated to reporters. … The Bulldogs also finished 4-of-18 from 3-point range after shooting 18-of-32 in their past two contests.
