Western Kentucky 81, Ole Miss 74: T.J. Price recorded a season-high 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds and five assists as the visiting Hilltoppers rallied from 16 down in the second half to defeat the Rebels.

George Fant contributed 17 points and nine rebounds while Chris Harrison-Docks scored 12 for Western Kentucky (4-4), which made 9-of-21 from 3-point range. Trency Jackson chipped in with 10 points and Justin Johnson added eight off the bench for the Hilltoppers, who ended the game on a 41-18 run.

Stefan Moody led the way with 25 points, including six 3-pointers, and handed out five assists for Ole Miss (6-3), which has lost three of five at home. Ladarius White registered 15 points off the bench and second-leading scorer Jarvis Summers had eight on 2-of-14 shooting from the field.

Three consecutive 3-pointers by Moody capped an 18-3 run for a 12-point lead and Ole Miss led by as many as 17 in the first half before settling for a 45-32 edge at intermission. Western Kentucky answered by running off 14 straight points, capped by a 3-pointer and a side jumper by Price, to surge in front 58-57 with 8:19 left in the contest.

A pair of 3-pointers by Moody put the Rebels back in front by two before Jackson and Price each drained jumpers from behind the arc for a 67-63 lead with 4:32 to go. Ole Miss pulled within 69-66, but Price nailed a wing jumper before Jackson and Price each hit two free throws for a nine-point lead and the Hilltoppers were on their way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Western Kentucky defeated an SEC team for the first time since a victory over Mississippi State on Jan. 4, 2010, snapping a five-game losing streak. … Moody is averaging 21.3 points in his last four outings while making 14-of-27 from 3-point range combined. … Western Kentucky came in averaging 16.7 turnovers, but finished with only nine Saturday – three in the first half.
