Arizona 68, Weber State 59: Nick Johnson scored 18 points as Arizona topped pesky Weber State in an all-Wildcats matchup in the West regional of the NCAA tournament in San Diego.

Aaron Gordon had 16 points and eight rebounds and fellow freshman Rondae Hollis-Jefferson notched 13 points for top-seeded Arizona (31-4), which will face No. 8 Gonzaga in Sunday's third round. Gordon also had five blocks, as did Kaleb Tarczewski, and the Wildcats finished with a season-high 12 rejections.

Weber State (19-12), seeded 16th after winning the Big Sky tournament, scored the game's first seven points but did little right thereafter, finishing at 30.2 percent shooting. Davion Berry led the way with 24 points while Joel Bolomboy had 11 to go along with 16 rebounds, although the two combined to shoot 8-of-30 from the floor.

Following its slow start, Arizona went on a 32-13 run to end the half, holding Weber State to just one field goal over the final 10 minutes. Arizona shot 50 percent in the first half and held Weber State to 25 percent while forcing nine turnovers.

Jeremy Senglin's 3-pointer just over four minutes into the second half drew Weber State within 39-27, but Arizona responded with an 11-2 run that was highlighted by five points from Johnson to regain the momentum. Weber state again fought back, using an 11-2 burst of its own to slice its deficit to 60-51 with 4 1/2 minutes left before Johnson drained a 3-pointer to stem the tide.
