Kentucky 85, LSU 67: James Young recorded 21 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Wildcats pulled away from the Tigers in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament in Atlanta.

Julius Randle added 17 points and a game-high 16 rebounds while Aaron Harrison scored 14 points for Kentucky (23-9), which will meet Georgia in Saturday's semifinals. Andrew Harrison chipped with 11 points and eight assists while Willie Cauley-Stein recorded six blocks for the second-seeded Wildcats, who went 26-of-41 from the free-throw line.

Johnny O'Bryant III led the way with 18 points and seven rebounds while Andre Stringer netted 14 points off the bench for LSU (19-13), which fell to 2-16 all-time against Kentucky in the SEC tournament. Jordan Mickey scored 12 points and pulled down 13 rebounds while Shavon Coleman added 10 points for the seventh-seeded Tigers, who lost the battle of the boards 48-32.

Young keyed a 24-5 run to put Kentucky up by 12 and he led all scorers with 17 points in the first half as the Wildcats took a 42-32 edge into the break. Cauley-Stein's dunk stretched Kentucky's lead to 16 early in the second frame before Stringer nailed two 3-pointers during a 16-3 surge to pull LSU within 52-49.

Randle's dunk restored the Wildcats' double-digit advantage with 9:30 remaining but Stringer kept the Tigers within striking distance as he split a pair of free throws to close the gap to 61-55. Aaron Harrison knocked down a triple to make it 76-59 and Kentucky never looked back.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kentucky has won 47 of its last 57 SEC tournament games. … Mickey posted two blocks to become the first LSU player since Shaquille O'Neal to notch more than 100 in a season. … Randle recorded his 19th double-double despite going 4-of-12 from the field.
