No. 12 Michigan 84, Indiana 80: Nik Stauskas scored 21 points and Glenn Robinson III added 20 as the host Wolverines squirted past the Hoosiers in Big Ten play.

Jordan Morgan added 15 points and 10 rebounds and Caris LeVert had 13 points as Michigan (23-7, 15-3) won its fifth straight game. Robinson hit the tiebreaking 3-pointer with 1:13 remaining and the Wolverines made six straight free throws in the final 41.3 seconds to finish off a regular season that earned them the No. 1 seed for next week’s Big Ten tournament.

Will Sheehey scored 17 points for Indiana (17-14, 7-11), which lost its second consecutive outing. Yogi Ferrell added 16 points and eight assists, Troy Williams scored 16 on 8-of-9 shooting and Stanford Robinson chipped in 13 points.

LeVert scored six points during a 10-2 run that saw Michigan take a 69-60 lead with 5:41 remaining and the Wolverines later stretched the lead to 11 with 4:55 to play. The Hoosiers scored nine straight points to pull within 73-71 and tied the score at 75 on Stanford Robinson’s layup with 1:29 remaining prior to Robinson’s clutch shot from the right corner.

The Hoosiers made their first nine field-goal attempts while jumping out to a 22-12 lead, and it took nearly 15 minutes for Indiana to commit a turnover as the Hoosiers sailed into the break with a 42-36 advantage. The lead was again six early in the second half before Michigan rattled off eight straight to take a 50-48 lead with just under 16 minutes to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Indiana F Noah Vonleh returned from a two-game absence due to a foot injury and had eight rebounds but just seven points. … Michigan was 26-of-29 from the free-throw line but was just 4-of-15 from 3-point range one game after tying the school record with 16 against Illinois. … The Hoosiers committed 12 of their 15 turnovers in the second half.
