No. 21 North Carolina 85, North Carolina State 84 (OT): Marcus Paige scored a career-high 35 points, including the game-winning layup with 0.9 seconds left in overtime, as the Tar Heels survived a frantic finish to regulation to win their 10th in a row.

Paige drove the lane and banked home a layup, capping an 11-for-21 shooting performance highlighted by a career-high seven 3-pointers for North Carolina (21-7, 11-4 ACC). J.P. Tokoto finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Kennedy Meeks also pulled down 10 rebounds for the Tar Heels.

T.J. Warren also established a career high with 36 points on 13-for-25 shooting, but missed one of two free throws with 7.7 seconds left in regulation that gave North Carolina State (17-11, 7-8) an 84-83 advantage and set the stage for Paige's winning basket. Ralston Turner scored 16 points, hitting four 3-pointers as the Wolfpack lost for the third time in four games.

Warren opened overtime by scoring North Carolina State’s first six points, but Paige hit two 3-pointers and a pair of free throws to bring the Tar Heels within 83-81 with 40 seconds remaining. James Michael McAdoo’s layup after a Wolfpack turnover tied the game at 83, and after Warren missed the first free throw and rattled home the second, Paige had just enough time to race the length of the court and give North Carolina its longest winning streak in five years.

Warren followed two Paige free throws with a game-tying jumper with 1:16 to go in regulation, and after Paige answered with a 3-pointer, Turner’s triple on the other end evened the score again at 69. Tokoto’s two free throws with 3.6 seconds left staked North Carolina to a 71-69 lead, but Warren was fouled on the inbound play and made two free throws to send the game to overtime even at 71.
