DePaul 65, Seton Hall 60: Brandon Young scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures as the host Blue Demons snapped a 10-game losing streak.

Durrell McDonald registered a career-high 15 points and freshman Billy Garrett Jr. also scored 15 as DePaul (11-18, 3-13 Big East) won for the first time since Jan. 14 and avenged a 17-point loss at Seton Hall (14-14, 5-10) last month. Sandi Marcius chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds as the Blue Demons prevailed despite getting zero points from their bench.

Fuquan Edwin had 21 points and four steals for the Pirates, who were unable to hold a six-point lead after erasing a nine-point halftime deficit. Jaren Sina hit all four 3-point attempts and finished with 12 points for Seton Hall.

Young and McDonald scored nine points apiece and DePaul hit 10 of its first 11 shots to race out to a 26-17 lead en route to a 38-29 halftime edge. The Pirates stormed back after halftime, getting nine points from Edwin and two 3-pointers from Sina in a 21-6 burst to surge ahead 50-44 with just over 12 1/2 minutes to play.

The Blue Demons responded as Garrett scored five points and McDonald buried a 3-pointer in an 8-0 spurt to reclaim the lead at 52-50 with nine minutes remaining. McDonald knocked down a shot clock-beating 3-pointer and Young dunked off a steal to extend the lead to 63-58 with 89 seconds to play before Young iced it with a pair of three throws with 12.7 ticks left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Garrett, who hit all nine of his free throws, is averaging 19.3 points in his last three games. ... Pirates PG Sterling Gibbs, who was suspended for Sunday's game at Creighton, rejoined the team and had three points and one steal off the bench. ... Seton Hall leading scorer Edwin came out of the game briefly with an injury to his right hand with eight minutes to play and did not score again.
