Duke (21-5, 10-3 ACC) used a pair of 12-3 runs in the first half to build a 19-point advantage, shooting 58.6 percent from the field and hitting seven 3-pointers in leading 43-27 at halftime. Rodney Hood hit three of his four 3-pointers in the game’s first six minutes, finishing with 14 points.

Duke led 24-14 with 8 ½ minutes left in the half before scoring 12 of the next 15 points – the first seven by Quinn Cook – to push its cushion to 36-17 with 5:45 to go before halftime.

Hood’s jumper with just under 16 minutes remaining swelled Duke’s lead to 50-30, but the Blue Devils went scoreless for the next five minutes. Georgia Tech carved the lead to 52-40 on two Chris Bolden free throws with 10:18 to go, but Hood’s 3-pointer and Parker’s three-point play quickly pushed the lead to 58-40.
