No. 22 Pittsburgh 59, Miami (Fla.) 55 (OT): Lamar Patterson scored 10 of his game-high 25 points in overtime to help the visiting Panthers knock off the Hurricanes.

Cameron Wright scored 12 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds for Pittsburgh (19-4, 7-3 ACC), which moved into a share of third place in the conference standings alongside No. 11 Duke with the win. Talib Zanna added 10 points for the Panthers, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Rion Brown's 21 points led Miami (11-11, 2-7) while Garrius Adams finished with 10 points and six rebounds. The Hurricanes, who fell to 0-5 at home in ACC play, didn't help themselves at the free-throw line where they made just 14-of-25 attempts.

Miami led for the majority the first half and matched its biggest lead at 28-23 on a pair of Manu Lecomte free throws with 1:29 to go. But Patterson, who missed his first four shots after going 7-of-28 from the field in Pittsburgh's two previous games, connected on back-to-back 3-pointers, the final one with two seconds left, to put the Panthers ahead at halftime 29-28.

The game see-sawed back and forth in the second half with Patterson giving the Panthers a 46-45 lead with 13 seconds to go with a driving layup only to have Lecomte force overtime a few seconds later when he sank the second of two free throws. Patterson put Pittsburgh ahead to stay midway through overtime with a layup and then sealed the victory with three free throws in the final 10.6 seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Patterson has scored in double figures in 21 straight games. ... Brown, who had started every game this season, came off the bench after missing practice on Tuesday because of illness. ...
