No. 14 Kentucky 68, Texas A&M 51: Alex Poythress scored 14 of his season-high 16 points in the second half and James Young added 15 points as the Wildcats rolled past the visiting Aggies.

Freshman Julius Randle recorded his 11th double-double with 13 points and 11 boards for Kentucky (14-4, 4-1 SEC), which dominated the second half and cruised to its 20th straight home win. Andrew Harrison contributed eight points and eight rebounds to help Kentucky avenge a rare home loss to the Aggies last season.

Davonte Fitzgerald and Alex Caruso scored 12 points apiece to lead Texas A&M (12-6, 3-2), which lost its second straight after opening SEC play with three consecutive wins. Leading scorer Jamal Jones missed most of the second half with a strained hamstring and was held to eight points on 3-of-12 shooting.

Caruso recorded his 100th career steal for Texas A&M, which had just one offensive rebound in the first half and trailed 34-27 at the break. The Aggies were outrebounded 42-24 overall while shooting 37.3 percent from the field.

Poythress scored nine of the Wildcats’ first 12 points in the second half, including a soaring dunk to put Kentucky ahead 46-36 with just under 13 points remaining. The Aggies were held to four field goals in the final 14 minutes, and Dakari Johnson (six points, seven rebounds) scored with 8:08 left to boost the lead to 53-38.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kentucky F Willie Cauley-Stein, who has three blocked shots over his last four games after recording 55 blocks in his first 14 contests, battled foul trouble and was held to one point and one rebound in limited playing time. … The Wildcats improved to 79-2 in Rupp Arena under coach John Calipari. … Kentucky shot 6-for-21 from 3-point range, while Texas A&M missed six of its eight shots.
