No. 25 UCLA 69, No. 22 Colorado 56: Norman Powell tied a season high with 19 points and Jordan Adams posted 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds as the Bruins notched a quality road victory.

David Wear added 11 points and seven rebounds for UCLA while Zach LaVine had nine points off the bench. Powell had four of the 12 steals by the Bruins (14-3, 3-1 Pac-12), who won for the fifth time in six games, with the only loss coming to No. 1 Arizona.

Colorado (14-4, 3-2) played its first full game without star point guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who will miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear. Askia Booker stepped up with 21 points and Josh Scott had 19, but freshman Jaron Hopkins - taking Dinwiddie's place in the starting lineup - managed only two points on 1-of-6 shooting and had five of the team's 17 turnovers.

UCLA scored the final five points of the first half, holding Colorado scoreless for the final 4 1/2 minutes to take a 36-29 lead into the break. The Buffaloes got within three points on two occasions early in the first half, but the Bruins had the answer each time.

LaVine had a 3-pointer and another basket during a 7-2 mini-run that opened up a 49-41 edge before UCLA's defense took over. Following a jumper by Booker with about 12 1/2 minutes left, the Bruins limited the Buffaloes to just three free throws over the next 8 1/2 minutes as the lead extended to 12, and the hosts never threatened thereafter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: UCLA freshman G Bryce Alford, who had averaged 15 points over his last three games, missed all seven of his shots and did not score. ... Neither team performed well from the free-throw line, as UCLA was 11-of-18 and Colorado went 11-of-19. ... Powell had six offensive rebounds - one fewer than the Buffaloes had as a team.
