Meanwhile, Seton Hall (10-6, 1-2) has lost two straight by double digits after its first four losses came by a total of 11 points, including defeats in overtime and double-overtime. Brian Oliver led the Pirates with 20 points, fueled by his 6-of-11 shooting from behind the arc.

After the Wildcats controlled the early portion of the second half, Oliver's 3-pointer with about 11 minutes left brought the Pirates within 55-47. But freshman Josh Hart (11 points) scored the Wildcats' next seven points - including a 3-pointer and a dunk - and Villanova led by double digits the rest of the way.
