No. 1 Kentucky 93, Northern Kentucky 63: Freshman sensation Julius Randle had 22 points and 14 rebounds as the Wildcats pounded the visiting Norse in the first half en route to a comfortable win.

Randle, who had a double-double by halftime, made six of his seven shots from the field and reached the foul line 14 times, making 10. Two other members of the Wildcats' star-studded freshman class, twin guards Aaron Harrison (16 points) and Andrew Harrison (13), joined Randle in double figures for Kentucky (2-0).

The Norse (0-2), who only lost by one in Friday's season opener at Purdue, shot just 32.8 percent in this one and finished with as many turnovers as assists (seven). Daniel Camps came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points, and Tyler White added 12 points.

Randle recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds in the first half as Kentucky led 48-22 at intermission. The Wildcats jumped out to an 8-1 lead, with five players combining for those eight points, and later embarked on a 25-7 first-half run that included eight points from Randle and six by Willie Cauley-Stein.

Cauley-Stein finished with seven points and 11 rebounds for Kentucky, while fellow sophomore Alex Poythress had nine points and seven boards. The Wildcats also dominated on the glass, grabbing 51 rebounds to 23 for the undersized and overmatched Norse.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Freshman F Marcus Lee, who was 7-of-8 for 17 points in Kentucky's season opener, was held to three points. ... The Wildcats only had 12 assists on their 30 baskets, with Randle contributing a team-high three. ... Northern Kentucky G Todd Johnson made a pair of 3-pointers as part of his 11 points and also chipped in eight rebounds and four assists.
