Robert Morris 59, Kentucky 57: Mike McFadden made the game-winning free throws with 8.7 seconds remaining, and the Colonials shocked the visiting Wildcats in the first round of the NIT.

Lucky Jones scored a team-high 15 points before being ejected late in the game, and Russell Johnson added 14 points for Robert Morris (24-10).

Kentucky's Archie Goodwin led all scorers with 18 points. Jarrod Polson contributed 10 points for the Wildcats (21-12), who lost despite shooting 52.5 percent and outrebounding the Colonials 25-19.

Robert Morris got to play at home thanks to a scheduling quirk that left Kentucky unable to host because of NCAA Tournament games at Rupp Arena. The Colonials rode the emotion of their homecourt advantage to an early 10-0 lead, though Kentucky righted the ship and trailed 28-27 at the break.

Robert Morris led 53-42 with 6:32 remaining, but Kentucky tied the game on an 11-0 run capped by four straight points by Goodwin - including two free throws after a foul by Jones that got him ejected. Another bucket by Goodwin tied it at 57 with 42 seconds left, but on the ensuing possession, McFadden was fouled while collecting the offensive board.
